<br />
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-0uaxsWp08GI/UZQP7Ae7iiI/AAAAAAAAAl4/iMjcCPvQYbE/s1600/SANY0006.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="412" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-0uaxsWp08GI/UZQP7Ae7iiI/AAAAAAAAAl4/iMjcCPvQYbE/s640/SANY0006.JPG" width="640" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">MAC 224 - Sigma ss266 - SigmaE30 - Real Techniques base shadow brush - Sigma ss252</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<br />
MAC 224 is a soft fluffy brush designed to blend colour through the crease of the eye, I love that the 224 is fluffy enough to really diffuse shadow and bend beautifully, but also not so large that it spreads the colour to far.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-sc0eUARFv6s/UZQT_guw8dI/AAAAAAAAAmI/LfGfNOOrqnY/s1600/SANY0023.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-sc0eUARFv6s/UZQT_guw8dI/AAAAAAAAAmI/LfGfNOOrqnY/s200/SANY0023.JPG" width="87" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
The Sigma ss266 is one of my most used brushes. I use it to fill in my brows either with a brow gel or powder. It is also fantastic for lining the eye either as one solid line or for a beautiful soft smokey line.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-YQktrUKxx8U/UZQUTOuHMHI/AAAAAAAAAmQ/zpm9PguG1pY/s1600/SANY0016.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-YQktrUKxx8U/UZQUTOuHMHI/AAAAAAAAAmQ/zpm9PguG1pY/s200/SANY0016.JPG" width="74" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
Sigmas E30 or pencil brush as they are commonly called is a must have for adding definition to an eye look, be it for adding depth of colour to the other corner of the eye or along the lash line. This brush can also be used to smudge eyeliner or shadow along the top or bottom lash line.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-9dB6NExMelQ/UZQU1Qthx-I/AAAAAAAAAmY/RDLS5p8xi8I/s1600/SANY0019.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-9dB6NExMelQ/UZQU1Qthx-I/AAAAAAAAAmY/RDLS5p8xi8I/s200/SANY0019.JPG" width="152" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
The Real Techniques base shadow brush is perfect for as its name suggests applying shadow to the mobile lid of the eye it is dense enough to give a good coverage of colour on the lid but also soft enough to turn on its side and use to blend shadow through the crease of the eye.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-EZSeJlpl8DM/UZQVKkO8TjI/AAAAAAAAAmg/0PgPw_A5Vh4/s1600/SANY0021.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-EZSeJlpl8DM/UZQVKkO8TjI/AAAAAAAAAmg/0PgPw_A5Vh4/s200/SANY0021.JPG" width="103" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<br />
The sigma ss252 is similar to the Real Techniques as it is great for providing a full coverage of colour to the lid, it is denser and firmer than the real techniques brush and probably would not be a good choice for blending, but perfect for packing colour onto the lid.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-HCTDVaLJzEY/UZQVc__O8MI/AAAAAAAAAmo/os2DKjtB5Dk/s1600/SANY0013.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="96" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-HCTDVaLJzEY/UZQVc__O8MI/AAAAAAAAAmo/os2DKjtB5Dk/s320/SANY0013.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
As I said for the face brushes, you don't have to own these specific brands or all the brushes, as some of them perform a duel purpose so have a read and find what will work for you.<br />
<br />
If you would like any further knowledge or makeup brush advice please let me know xx<br />

I wanted to share the basic brushes that you need to have in your collection that will make makeup application a piece of cake.<br />
<br />
Firstly face brushes, from foundation to bronzer there is a brush for each job, and some that work for a few all rolled into one.<br />
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-upHTcQ_rP5o/UZMnzWtWmLI/AAAAAAAAAkY/Q4f8pAjLpvY/s1600/SANY0024.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="380" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-upHTcQ_rP5o/UZMnzWtWmLI/AAAAAAAAAkY/Q4f8pAjLpvY/s640/SANY0024.JPG" width="640" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">MAC 188 - real techniques buffing brush - Sigma ss187- sigma f60- real techniques contour - sigma ss168 -MAC 109</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
The MAC 188 I love for highlighter across the tops of cheek bones, it can also be used for blush and other powder products.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-e2W38CEjWiA/UZMrCeCl9II/AAAAAAAAAko/auyXBmkULQk/s1600/SANY0040.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-e2W38CEjWiA/UZMrCeCl9II/AAAAAAAAAko/auyXBmkULQk/s200/SANY0040.JPG" width="130" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
Real Techniques Buffing brush is my personal favourite for liquid foundation, it can also be used for a<br />
full coverage powder foundation.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-a7hATRGQe4w/UZMrZIUv08I/AAAAAAAAAkw/W6OQILAIA6U/s1600/SANY0027.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="100" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-a7hATRGQe4w/UZMrZIUv08I/AAAAAAAAAkw/W6OQILAIA6U/s200/SANY0027.JPG" width="200" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
Sigma ss187 is a bigger version of the MAC 188, i love it for finishing powder or a light coverage of powder foundation. It can also be used for liquid foundation.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-mhP-pP9ObgQ/UZMrwGBlYgI/AAAAAAAAAk4/it95AX_wG08/s1600/SANY0028.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="181" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-mhP-pP9ObgQ/UZMrwGBlYgI/AAAAAAAAAk4/it95AX_wG08/s200/SANY0028.JPG" width="200" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
Sigma f60 is a traditional foundation brush, I also use it to apply primer.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-yFHN5NcBZvE/UZMsFetskdI/AAAAAAAAAlA/4Ir8yw0ukAI/s1600/SANY0026.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="81" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-yFHN5NcBZvE/UZMsFetskdI/AAAAAAAAAlA/4Ir8yw0ukAI/s200/SANY0026.JPG" width="200" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
Real techniques contour brush is my go to for contouring, it is dense but with a pointed tip.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-pIkchIJCPGA/UZMsicVFbsI/AAAAAAAAAlI/miT_vPUMtTM/s1600/SANY0038.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-pIkchIJCPGA/UZMsicVFbsI/AAAAAAAAAlI/miT_vPUMtTM/s200/SANY0038.JPG" width="167" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
Sigma ss168 is a beautiful brush for applying a contour either liquid or powder, it is also great for blush application, or highlighter.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-4KtFVHqeRyg/UZMs6kSyZNI/AAAAAAAAAlQ/4zy9zb20Mj4/s1600/SANY0034.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-4KtFVHqeRyg/UZMs6kSyZNI/AAAAAAAAAlQ/4zy9zb20Mj4/s200/SANY0034.JPG" width="159" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<br />
MAC 109 is my most favourite blush brush its flat rounded top is perfect for just the right application of cheek colour.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-fyoTEAN8LAY/UZMtSyUtbjI/AAAAAAAAAlY/devBT_fXgsw/s1600/SANY0031.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-fyoTEAN8LAY/UZMtSyUtbjI/AAAAAAAAAlY/devBT_fXgsw/s200/SANY0031.JPG" width="141" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
You don't have to have these specific brands of brushes, I am only suggesting the style and as stated some of these serve multiple purposes so pick which works best for you. If you would like any further information feel free to ask. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

One of the questions I get a lot is "what brushes do use?" Well in my kit I have 5 different brands of brushes each for different reasons. But one of the newest brush brands I have fallen for is Real Techniques by Samantha Chapman. I added my first real technique brush to mu kit about twelve months ago and haven't looked back.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

The brushes feel and perform like top of the line professional brushes at a fraction of the cost. Samantha Chapman is a Makeup artist and a very successful beauty video blogger on Youtube, and her brushes reflect the quality required by professionals.<br />
I have found a great website the sells these brushes at a lot less than Australian retail prices. I love to shop online but hate having to wait for slow international shipping. This was not an issue at all with <a href="http://www.iherb.com/" target="_blank">iherb</a>. The order arrived 3 days after I had placed my order, I was so impressed.<br />
<br />
I purchased the core collection, the starter set a powder brush, the foundation brush and the stippling brush.<br />
I also purchased a second set of the core collection to give away to one of you. I love these brushes so much that I wanted you to have an opportunity to see for yourself.<br />

I have noticed my scalp is extremely dry and flaky, its not itchy at all and I feel it is due to the massive doses of radiation my poor head has been exposed to.<br />
<br />
No matter what the cause I have stumbled upon a fantastic product that delivers what it promises.<br />
<br />
XMA is an Australian owned and operated company that makes natural based products. The Hair 'N Scalp overnight scalp treatment was purchased for me by my mum who knew I was having trouble with my dry scalp, She had met the owners of XMA and was really impressed with not only the products they produced but also how beautiful their skin was.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-MaocPv72t_8/UYhaCY8IE3I/AAAAAAAAAjc/IdzAkteyQFs/s1600/XMA-Scalp-500px.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-MaocPv72t_8/UYhaCY8IE3I/AAAAAAAAAjc/IdzAkteyQFs/s320/XMA-Scalp-500px.png" width="147" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<br />
I have been using the overnight treatment each night for 2 weeks now and I couldn't be happier with the results. It is super easy to use I just rub a small amount of the product onto my scalp before bed and shampoo it out each morning.<br />
I have noticed not only a huge reduction in the dry flaky skin coming from my scalp and my hair is shiner and looks and feels much healthier than it had previously.<br />
I will continue to use the treatment less frequently now to maintain my scalp health, and am hoping to talk hubby into giving it a go as he suffers from mild dandruff and I think he would really benefit from the product.<br />
The scalp treatment is a 150 ml bottle and retails for $24.95 and there is a great online store where all the XMA products can be found. Check out the other beautiful natural based products available, I will be adding the goat and oat shampoo and the avocado and oat conditioner to my collection. Check out the website <a href="http://xmatherapy.com.au/Shop/index.php?osCsid=q75eqht3m71e6sal52ps6ntd15" target="_blank">Here</a> .<br />

<br />
You may have noticed that my post have be few and far between over the last 12 months and I am sorry.<br />
Some of you may be aware that I have had some health issues and I wanted to let you all know whats what.<br />
<br />
I was diagnosed with a brain tumour about 2 years ago and had been treating it with medication for the first 18 months to no avail. The medication was pretty rough and knocked the stuffing out of me.<br />
I had to take time of from my Freelancing makeup business to concentrate on trying to heal.<br />
In January this year my doctor decided it was time to pull out the big guns and I underwent a huge dose of Stereo static Radiation.<br />
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-VqgspnKTOnI/UXTsUPSSoiI/AAAAAAAAAi4/aoNd0iR6OYU/s1600/312438_10151794066453009_25334548_n.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-VqgspnKTOnI/UXTsUPSSoiI/AAAAAAAAAi4/aoNd0iR6OYU/s200/312438_10151794066453009_25334548_n.jpg" width="200" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Shocking pic but you can see my bald head </td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<br />
I thought the medication was rough, it was nothing compared to the radiation. But it was all worth it as it did the trick. My brain scan shows no sign of the tumour, there is some scar tissue but it looks good. I have to have another scan before the doctor will call it remission but I am feeling on top of the world.<br />
<br />
I am getting stronger and feeling better day by day and I am looking forward to getting back to my career and putting more love into this blog.<br />
Thank you for staying with me during this period and I look forward to sharing all kinds of wonderful with you all soon.<br />

Most makeup artist's at one time or another (Me) have dreamt of creating their own cosmetic line. For most this is but a dream. Not so for one of my favourite Aussie makeup artist's <a href="https://www.facebook.com/erinbiggmakeup" target="_blank">Erin Bigg</a>. Not only is she one hell of a makeup artist but also the brain child behind the upcoming cosmetic line <a href="http://www.erinbiggcosmetics.com.au/" target="_blank">Erin Bigg Cosmetics</a>.<br />

<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Z5i_UiEmTcs/UPt1F1jtEjI/AAAAAAAAAZU/CrczSloSrPE/s1600/my+Favorite+mac+lipstics.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="297" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Z5i_UiEmTcs/UPt1F1jtEjI/AAAAAAAAAZU/CrczSloSrPE/s320/my+Favorite+mac+lipstics.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
I have a a serious love for MAC lipsticks, I own a fairly substantial number of them, most are depoted into a pallet in my kit but I also have a large personal collection. I had a hard time narrowing the list down to five but here it is. My top 5 Mac lippies.<br />
<br />
First on the list is <b>MAC- RED</b> Its a beautiful rich old fashion glamour red, I love a good vintage look at this colour is perfect for that. The formulation is satin but I think its more like a matte, very opaque.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-JiwCU6kO3eg/UPt2vmWaJCI/AAAAAAAAAZs/Dtv827qPvQ4/s1600/mac+red2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-JiwCU6kO3eg/UPt2vmWaJCI/AAAAAAAAAZs/Dtv827qPvQ4/s320/mac+red2.jpg" width="310" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The second colour I have chosen is <b>LADY DANGER</b>, I have been reaching for this one a lot It is a orange red and I love it, if I had to pick one out of all this would be it. The finish is Matte but I don't find this one to drying like some matte lipsticks can be. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-CFdaFi1NjXQ/UPt4DNYNuBI/AAAAAAAAAaE/zwJsgG6wqkM/s1600/lady+danger.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="278" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-CFdaFi1NjXQ/UPt4DNYNuBI/AAAAAAAAAaE/zwJsgG6wqkM/s320/lady+danger.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
3rd up is a new one to my collection but it is becoming a firm favourite <b>SAIGON SUMMER</b>, Its a beautiful dewey wash of orange with a subtle shimmer. It is a creamsheen finish and is perfect for summer. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-TJ5Xerw0BvU/UPt6sJiRvFI/AAAAAAAAAac/VMYrMwVqfSw/s1600/saigon+summer+.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-TJ5Xerw0BvU/UPt6sJiRvFI/AAAAAAAAAac/VMYrMwVqfSw/s320/saigon+summer+.jpg" width="316" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-XiNgYpnffl8/UPt7IeArGwI/AAAAAAAAAak/414cPU3FVgY/s1600/saigon+summer+2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-XiNgYpnffl8/UPt7IeArGwI/AAAAAAAAAak/414cPU3FVgY/s320/saigon+summer+2.jpg" width="199" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Next one up is <b>CHATTER BOX</b> and I have been wearing this one frequently during the day, it's a pretty wearable pink. Perfect with lots of looks and goes with lots of colours, its great for when I don't know what I feel like putting on. It's an amplified formulation. This lipstick is really comfortable to wear.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Wa4fh0NpwxU/UPt-5E8qJjI/AAAAAAAAAa8/O877dFmMTtg/s1600/chatter+box.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="198" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Wa4fh0NpwxU/UPt-5E8qJjI/AAAAAAAAAa8/O877dFmMTtg/s320/chatter+box.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Last but not least is <b>GIRL ABOUT TOWN </b>I love this one it is bold and bright and super pretty. A deep blue based pink that looks smoking on. I think I will get a lot of use out of this one during the cooler months. This is also an amplified formulation.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-tWF49-qXzzA/UPt_0-zTXdI/AAAAAAAAAbI/5zzQcdJ2dKo/s1600/Girl+about+town.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="229" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-tWF49-qXzzA/UPt_0-zTXdI/AAAAAAAAAbI/5zzQcdJ2dKo/s320/Girl+about+town.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
If you would like me to swatch these on the lips please let me know, what are your favourites? Is there any that you think I need in my collection?? let m know xxD</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

</div>If you have been following me either here for a while or on my old blog you would have seen a few hair changes during that time. I was mostly dark with some blond highlights and a short modern cut to start with. this got lighter and lighter as time went on.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>

<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">very dark bob </td></tr>
</tbody></table>It went from this to this ....<br />
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-zwDeMhx3pJ0/UDiJKWJHDrI/AAAAAAAAAXk/huyEp8ymE-c/s1600/254166_10150348185158009_5092849_a.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-zwDeMhx3pJ0/UDiJKWJHDrI/AAAAAAAAAXk/huyEp8ymE-c/s1600/254166_10150348185158009_5092849_a.jpg" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">similar cut but so very blonde </td></tr>

<div><br />

But alas I lasted about 10 days before my very bored and house bound fingers started trawling the interwebs.<br />
I stumbled on over to <a href="http://www.allcosmeticswholesale.com/" target="_blank">All cosmetics Wholesale </a> and picked myself up a little MAC to make myself feel better ( It totally worked ).<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-8JGqdw1Gt4I/UDh6xYIq50I/AAAAAAAAAWk/IbA2XSMZTeg/s1600/SANY0850.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-8JGqdw1Gt4I/UDh6xYIq50I/AAAAAAAAAWk/IbA2XSMZTeg/s320/SANY0850.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">The items I picked up were mostly re- purchases of items I usually have in my kit. Such as blot powder in light and dark. Black track fluid line ( my favourite gel eyeliner of all time). A single eye shadow pan in seedy pearl, a single pan eye shadow in perky, mineralize sheensheen powder in lucent and a sample of chartreuse pigment.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />

If you read my post yesterday you would know I was on a quest to organise my single eye shadows and powder compacts that were either lurking in the depths of my draws or weighing down my kit like no body's business.<br />
This is what I am talking about .....<br />
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-FDa04kAPTUY/UDhzYj1fv4I/AAAAAAAAAVU/xQsa05asR3A/s1600/SANY0841.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-FDa04kAPTUY/UDhzYj1fv4I/AAAAAAAAAVU/xQsa05asR3A/s320/SANY0841.JPG" width="320" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">That's a lot of bulky product to carry about </td></tr>
</tbody></table>I will walk you through the de-poting process I used along with pictures, here we go ...<br />
<div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-poN-S6O4oKE/UDh1EhfLVqI/AAAAAAAAAVk/I_MQjGC69Lo/s1600/SANY0856.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="246" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-poN-S6O4oKE/UDh1EhfLVqI/AAAAAAAAAVk/I_MQjGC69Lo/s320/SANY0856.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Using something with a pointy end pry the plastic insert out of the compact, I used a steak knife as it was strong and had a tip, not super safe so be very careful.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-1YaL3XHi1iU/UDh1g5-EXsI/AAAAAAAAAVs/gM-0jRl7WtE/s1600/SANY0858.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="178" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-1YaL3XHi1iU/UDh1g5-EXsI/AAAAAAAAAVs/gM-0jRl7WtE/s320/SANY0858.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div><div>This is what you have once you have levered the insert out, the metal pan with filled with product inside the plastic insert.</div><div><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-bYsxCzNZF1I/UDh1_yukrWI/AAAAAAAAAV0/EQjgPYVYFnc/s1600/SANY0859.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-bYsxCzNZF1I/UDh1_yukrWI/AAAAAAAAAV0/EQjgPYVYFnc/s320/SANY0859.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div><br />
</div><div> Next using a hair straightener and some grease proof paper place the insert onto the metal plate of the hot straightener depending on how hot your straightener is will deem how long it will need to be heated for. For me it was aprox 1 minute the use the knife or other pointy object to push from the bottom of the insert to remove the metal pan. ( I forgot to take a photo of this step sorry ) </div><div><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-FXkjxWZ0mJA/UDh3PfmN5aI/AAAAAAAAAWA/7nAk2tZ5-eY/s1600/SANY0860.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-FXkjxWZ0mJA/UDh3PfmN5aI/AAAAAAAAAWA/7nAk2tZ5-eY/s320/SANY0860.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div><br />
</div><div>When hot enough the plastic and glue holding the pan in will melt making it easy to pop the pan out. </div><div>All that is needed now is a small magnetic sticker popped on the bottom so the pan sticks into the pallet.</div><div><br />
</div><div>Like so - </div><table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-EZqyaRYqSYA/UDh3_xCGCOI/AAAAAAAAAWI/QBXdmdfPa6Y/s1600/SANY0874.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-EZqyaRYqSYA/UDh3_xCGCOI/AAAAAAAAAWI/QBXdmdfPa6Y/s320/SANY0874.JPG" width="320" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">All my depoted products in either MAC or Z Palettes </td></tr>
</tbody></table><div>I hope you have found this helpful if you would like further information or help just let me know xx</div><div><br />
</div></div></div>madamerougehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14132984616207949561noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6841212522865321309.post-84271731440563194922012-08-24T23:15:00.000-07:002012-08-24T23:15:47.247-07:00 I have a plan Hi all, my plan is not a wicked one (this time). I have so many, either limited edition or the baked single eye shadows laying around in my makeup table, that never see the light of day for no other reason than they are out of sight out of mind. Hence my plan to depot them and put them all together in a palette.<br />
<br />
I have a similar issue with all my MAC mineralised skin finishes and beauty powders etc, which all are to high (domed) to fit into standard palettes.<br />
<br />
Enter stage right the Z dome palette......<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-SJgvqeDcCGo/UDhqCRfUooI/AAAAAAAAAUk/2k7xMAUMq8U/s1600/SANY0843.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-SJgvqeDcCGo/UDhqCRfUooI/AAAAAAAAAUk/2k7xMAUMq8U/s320/SANY0843.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I picked up two of these little beauties up from <a href="http://www.makeupandglow.com.au/" target="_blank">Makeup and Glow </a> I have lots of domed products I have to depot and need a new home. Each palette come with 20 sticky magnetic dots to pop into the backs of the pans. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-lxf0jVra12M/UDhrEqgXE8I/AAAAAAAAAUs/jjAkIbMQGOk/s1600/SANY0848.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-lxf0jVra12M/UDhrEqgXE8I/AAAAAAAAAUs/jjAkIbMQGOk/s320/SANY0848.JPG" width="320" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">the black domed palette next to a standard palette </td></tr>
</tbody></table>The domed pallet dose not look a lot bigger but the difference makes it very accommodating for domed products. I will be posting tomorrow showing you how to depot single products ready to pop into palettes. keep your eyes peeled here is a sneak peak at the finished product.<div><br />
</div><table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>

<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Z palette's containing MAC mineral blushes, eye shadows and mineralised skin finishes</td></tr>
</tbody></table><div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />

I had been lusting after the <a href="http://www.hakuhodousa.com/" target="_blank">Hakuhodo</a> brushes for years and finally got my hands on some last year at <a href="http://www.imats.net/index.php" target="_blank">IMATS</a>.<br />
I was fascinated by the pretty orange handles and the gold ferruls. I had heard some rave reviews and knew I needed them in my life.<br />
<br />
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-7ANOpJFvEBg/UAobLamYqTI/AAAAAAAAATU/Xft89i7Amso/s1600/SANY0073.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-7ANOpJFvEBg/UAobLamYqTI/AAAAAAAAATU/Xft89i7Amso/s320/SANY0073.JPG" width="320" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;"><span class="Apple-style-span">Top to bottom- s103- 210- <span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12px; line-height: 16px;">Yachiyo, Small </span></span><span class="Apple-style-span">- s111</span></td></tr>
</tbody></table><br />
I picked up two brushes from the s100 series ( the beautiful vermilion and gold ones) , one from the 200 series ( a dupe for macs 109) and one of the traditional brushes.<br />
<br />
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-i5VRf5FDOpA/UAodGKXX6tI/AAAAAAAAATk/BqYMfEIz8Cc/s1600/H0004L.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-i5VRf5FDOpA/UAodGKXX6tI/AAAAAAAAATk/BqYMfEIz8Cc/s200/H0004L.jpg" width="200" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">S-103</td></tr>
</tbody></table>I love this brush it is so soft I use it for bronzer and translucent powder it retails for $93. I know these brushes are on the pricy side but they are an investment and you need to look at it like that with proper care they will last you a lifetime.<div><br />

I have had not luck anywhere locally, mostly I was met with a "mirco wha???" accompanied by an unattractive snarl from the craft store attendants. So I scrounged the beads and found some tiny glass beads to have a run with. Yes I know I could have ordered them online but i'm a I want it and I want it now kind of girl.<br />
<br />
I painted my nails a nude colour first. I applied one coat of OPI's Samoan sands and let it dry completely.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-YT8On0cNikU/UAKABJh0lFI/AAAAAAAAASA/WoJiyOsMx7E/s1600/SANY0799.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-YT8On0cNikU/UAKABJh0lFI/AAAAAAAAASA/WoJiyOsMx7E/s200/SANY0799.JPG" width="198" /></a> </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I let the first coast dry completely and then got a small bowl, and the container I had stored the beads in ready to go. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">One nail at a time i applied a second liberal coat of the polish, and instantly poured the beads directly onto the nail over the bowl to catch the spare beads.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-whGqtA5i4HQ/UAKA5wCldeI/AAAAAAAAASI/ddo9xQqeS0Q/s1600/SANY0806.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="270" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-whGqtA5i4HQ/UAKA5wCldeI/AAAAAAAAASI/ddo9xQqeS0Q/s320/SANY0806.JPG" width="320" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Mill Hill Petite glass beads - OPI samoan sand<br />
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"><br />
</span></td></tr>
</tbody></table><div>After the nail was covered I gently patted the beads to make sure they were all stuck I also had to flick a few off from around the cuticle area.<br />
As soon as the first nail was finished I was tempted to remove it and give the whole "caviar Manicure " thing the flick, It looked like crap to me but hubby and the kids loved it so I persevered.<br />
<br />
I did the same steps with all ten nails, I was still really unhappy with them. Maybe it is my anal retentiveness and my need to have nice smooth nails, it may just have been that the beads are not as small as the micro beads and gave the manicure to much volume, I don't know but I was not sold. <br />
<br />
To add insult to injury Hubby and I were going out last night and i had to get him to help me get dressed, I know crazy right... The outfit I had picked out required fishnet tights and i couldn't manage them with the beads.<br />
It kept getting worse we went to a dear friends place for dinner and ribs were on the menu, so yummy but finger food was not a great combination with my nails either... I think I swallowed about 10 beads.</div><div><br />
<div><div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-oVgCgsMQdio/UAKKSajO8QI/AAAAAAAAASc/Qa2gkqGc7mc/s1600/SANY0821.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-oVgCgsMQdio/UAKKSajO8QI/AAAAAAAAASc/Qa2gkqGc7mc/s320/SANY0821.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I will order some micro beads and give this another try but at the moment the Caviar Manicure is not for me what do you think of my attempt?? Is it something you would try??</div><div><br />

<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-aDhLkqsxxnw/T_PSGUAjUNI/AAAAAAAAAQw/Z8r9DAbcAD4/s1600/SANY0785.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="205" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-aDhLkqsxxnw/T_PSGUAjUNI/AAAAAAAAAQw/Z8r9DAbcAD4/s320/SANY0785.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-4Wev6Ndxrro/T_PS5v1U_OI/AAAAAAAAAQ4/f79G9C07YPk/s1600/SANY0787.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="162" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-4Wev6Ndxrro/T_PS5v1U_OI/AAAAAAAAAQ4/f79G9C07YPk/s320/SANY0787.JPG" width="320" /></a></div> Its a foundation I have been lusting after for a long while now but availability n Australia was a huge issue. I could get the smaller sample pallet's here but it was much more economical to get the full size product.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-XH8kZ-eUgRQ/T_PTG7sv2hI/AAAAAAAAARA/hCiUz52I0Nc/s1600/SANY0790.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="185" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-XH8kZ-eUgRQ/T_PTG7sv2hI/AAAAAAAAARA/hCiUz52I0Nc/s320/SANY0790.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><br />
<br />
During my research i discovered most people were purchasing RCMA through <a href="http://camerareadycosmetics.com/brands/RCMA.html" target="_blank">Camera Ready Cosmetics</a>. I was so happy that an American based company shipped to Australia.<br />
I will do a separate review of the foundation once I have had a good play with it.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-kR52YRwiP2A/T_PUjia1G7I/AAAAAAAAARI/wSP3Qdf5PEw/s1600/SANY0791.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="319" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-kR52YRwiP2A/T_PUjia1G7I/AAAAAAAAARI/wSP3Qdf5PEw/s320/SANY0791.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>I also picked up the beautiful Ben Nye Fireworks wheel, it is another product that I had seen prior and loved but never picked up, so with the cheaper price it was a no brainier for me. I love a good highlighter so I think this pallet will be well loved.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><br />

To have all the products I may need on hand means carting a huge amount of makeup with me most of the time. I have previously shown you what is in my kit and how it was packed <a href="http://www.madamerougemakeup.blogspot.com.au/2011/10/whats-in-my-kit.html" target="_blank">here</a>. I also said that I was on the hunt for a new train case and the Zuca was high on the list.<br />
So I bit the bullet and here it is my new Zuca sports.<br />

<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Zuca sport </td></tr>
</tbody></table><div>I chose the red frame and the black mystic bag, I think it reflects Madame Rouge very well.</div><div>It came with four pouches with clear plastic tops that make knowing whats inside much easier. The other feature that made me go with the sports rather than the artist pro, was the double wheels. This makes taking the case upstairs a joy.</div><div><br />

As a mum i have had (still do) my fair share of these beautiful blue bags.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-YCrf_8cypnM/T8gfrUhy_KI/AAAAAAAAAPA/S7j7f6NLrwU/s1600/201112-omag-dark-circles-1-600x411.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="219" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-YCrf_8cypnM/T8gfrUhy_KI/AAAAAAAAAPA/S7j7f6NLrwU/s320/201112-omag-dark-circles-1-600x411.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><br />
<br />
Its really tempting to pile on the concealer and solider on, but the results are never what we hope for. The trick to combating the blue/purple rings is to colour correct. The skin under the eyes is discoloured and you need to bring it back to match the rest of the skin. To colour correct we must use a colour on the opposite side of the colour wheel to neutralise the skin tone.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-J-q1T8hn-ZE/T8gV5cSPD5I/AAAAAAAAAO0/jwNZ3oxoCw4/s1600/images.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-J-q1T8hn-ZE/T8gV5cSPD5I/AAAAAAAAAO0/jwNZ3oxoCw4/s1600/images.jpg" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">simple colour wheel</td></tr>
</tbody></table>If you look opposite the blue on the wheel is orange. Using an peach to orange colour corrector depending on the level of blue will neutralise the skin under the eye. Using colour correction will save you having to pile on the concealer that causes caking and grey ashy tones under the eye. ( I have an asian client that i have to use a vibrant orange lipstick to correct under her eyes)<div><div><br />
</div><div><u> Ticks </u></div><div>- to stop a heavy application is to warm the product between your finger tips to warm it up before application. ( try rubbing your ring fingers together then using them to apply the concealer) </div><div>- apply a brightening eye cream before applying your makeup.</div><div>- set concealer under eye with a small fluffy brush and translucent powder ( i use a mac 224) </div><div>- less is more, layer correctors and concealers is much easier to add more if needed than it is to remove it.</div><div><br />
</div><div> What do you use to hide the dark circles?<br />
<br />
